Aman Gupta is a seasoned entrepreneur with deep experience in renewable energy, telecom, and infrastructure. He became co-founder of his first renewable energy project, an 11 MW hydro plant, at the age of 26, marking the beginning of his journey in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy. He serves on the Board of Directors of Ecosystm Group.
He was previously founder and CEO at Createch, a company he led to secure landmark contracts with India’s early major private telecom operators including Reliance, Bharti, and Tata, to build their foundational infrastructure, contributing to India’s telecom revolution. Following his successful exit from Createch, he dedicated his focus to the renewable infrastructure sector.
Until his exit in 2019, Aman served as the Promoter and Managing Director of RusHydro India, a 51:49 joint venture with the world’s 2nd largest hydro energy generation company, RusHydro, a state owned enterprise. Under his leadership, the company secured the mandate to build India’s largest hydro project of 3750 MW in the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Today, Aman serves as the CEO of ERC Infratech, an operating & engineering business focused on renewable infrastructure, currently developing a large renewal solar energy plant in Western India with a capacity of 250 MW.
His diverse business ownership interests include automobile dealerships in northern India, a tea plantation in Assam, among other ventures. He is passionate about supporting the journey of entrepreneurs and is an active investor in innovative startups within sectors such as Deeptech, Renewal Energy, Healthcare and SaaS technology companies.
An alumnus of The Scindia School, Aman holds a BTech (Computer Science) from the Manipal Institute of Technology.
